A Stupa for Rahob Rinpoche, by Paul Ling

In old Tibet students would honor a great master by erecting a stupa in memory of their teacher.  It was an even greater sign of love and respect to erect it while their teacher was still in their form body.  In this spirit the POGWF board authorized a fund raising letter to be sent out Rinpoche’s closest students across the world.

The stupa will be erected in Petersburg, NY, USA.  It will be constructed by a Tibetan lama who has built many stupas in the America.  I anticipate it will be a pilgrimage site in years to come.

Our goal was $27,000.  Within two months this goal was met and exceeded.   Additional donations will be used to furnish the stupa with appropriate relics.  The relics could run an additional $20,000. Donations for the relics are being raised by the European Foundation.

Construction is planned to begin in the spring of 2015.
