REVITALIZING ANCIENT INDO-TIBETAN BÖN
CULTURE IN NEPAL
The original spiritual and cultural tradition of Tibet is broadly acknowledged to be based on Bön Buddhism, which is one of the oldest indigenous spiritual traditions in the world.
The Bön have evolved some of the most important meditation practices which not only give us pragmatic tools to optimize our lives but also enable us to view the larger issues in life with clarity and wisdom and less reactivity.
These thousands of years of teachings and practices are at significant risk of being lost forever.
Unless action is taken now, the Bön culture will be completely lost to the world.
MBF has already achieved several critical milestones in the revitalization of the Bön culture, including the opening of a vital temple in Nepal which will be the heart center of a larger Monastery complex. We urgently need your support to safeguard this extraordinary and beneficial culture.
